MIXING WITH DOLBY ATMOS
Welcome to the world of immersive audio! Over the past couple of years, I have jumped headfirst into mixing Dolby Atmos. What an exciting format (surround sound on steroids) ! Recent Dolby Atmos mixes include Al Green’s Greatest Hits, Velvet Rays, Andrew Salgado, Evelyn Rubio, Soundoctrine, Thomas Alexander, Clay Melton, 100 Meter Scream, Robert Cristian Jordan, and Jeremiah McKinley. Seriously consider “Future Proofing” your music and expanding your audience with immersive audio! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. (Yes, of course, I still also mix in stereo!) Happy listening, Danny!

Dolby Atmos is a surround sound technology developed by Dolby Laboratories. It expands on existing surround sound systems by adding height channels, allowing sounds to be interpreted as three-dimensional objects.[1] Following the release of Atmos for the cinema market, a variety of consumer technologies have been released under the Atmos brand, using in-ceiling and up-firing speakers.
Engineering/MIXING
I’ve worked recording and mixing projects in Memphis, L.A., New York, New Orleans, Minneapolis, Muscle Shoals and Houston (to name a few). Now with current technology, I am able to mix most everything in the comfort of my home mixing room. No planes, no hotels, no travel days!
I also mix Front Of House for the Jazz Stage at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival (ok, hotel and planes are involved), the Katy Jazz Festival, and have mixed the concert audio for HLSR-TV at the Houston Rodeo. Past mixing also includes WKNO (PBS Memphis), WHBQ’s “Good Morning Memphis” live from Handy Park (FOX TV) and 60 Minutes (CBS).
My recordings have not only charted in the US (national, Billboard, regional, Spotify, YouTube, etc.), but also internationally including Australia, UK, Germany, Canada, France, Italy and Holland. Genres include Blues, R&B, Pop, Jazz, Rock, Americana, Country, Gospel/Christian.
Just send contiguous/consolidated wav files (ProTools, Cubase, Nuendo, Logic Pro, Studio One, etc) for stereo, 5.1 surround or Dolby Atmos mixes for videos, streaming, downloading, cds, and/or vinyl. Questions? Email or text or call. Let’s talk!
*****CONGRATULATIONS to CLAY MELTON!! His single, “Back to Blue”, (I produced and mixed) recently went to #1 in Roots Music Reports Blues/Rock charts worldwide! *****
*****Congratulation to Keith Swinton for the movie “Heavy Metal Cannibals” being nominated for “Best Feature” in the Bare Bones International Film Festival 2025. I produced and cowrote the majority of the soundtrack.************
